Chris Janson's "Holdin' Her" is a special song penned about his family, and it was only right that the video holds as much meaning as the track itself. Family man Janson stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat about the single and its "true-to-life" visual.

"Holdin' Her" is a very personal song. “It’s about my wife and kids — my bonus kids. God has blessed us with so much," he says sweetly. "To making that video and putting life and visual with the audio, it was a really special thing.”

Janson's video for the single came straight from his homestead. His oldest daughter (his "bonus kid") recorded a lot of the clip's B-roll on her home camera, and the singer even filmed the shot of his daughter at the end on his iPhone. Shot in Franklin, Tenn., even the park bench has meaning — it's where he proposed.

Janson says his whole life changed when he met his wife, and then their children.

“My life changed when I met her and the kids and when I wrote this song, this song had so much meaning. I always wanted it to be a single — for years and years," he admits. "The timing has to be right for things to happen. It’s just a beautiful opportunity, it’s the perfect timing for it. I just love it so much. I’m so proud of it. I could talk about it for days."

Janson's album, Buy Me a Boat, is currently available on iTunes.
