The Cedar Falls Police department is Investigating an early Tuesday (1/12/16) afternoon robbery at a bank in the Thunder Ridge area.

Just before 2:00 P.M., the Black Hawk County Communications Center received a 911 call from the First National Bank, 2425 Whitetail Drive in Cedar Falls, reporting a robbery at their bank. Bank employees reported to police that a lone person dressed in dark clothing entered the bank with their face covered and presented a note stating that it was a robbery. A weapon was not displayed.

The person left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The investigation continues.

Cedar Falls Police were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, the Iowa DNR, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
