SAILOR DROPS ANCHOR AT UNI: Softball

Brooke Craig (Columbus Catholic HS) signed her National Letter of Intent to play siftball for the Northern Iowa Panthers.  Craig earned first-team all-metro and first-team all-conference in her first four years for the Sailors. In 2014, she earned 3A all-state honors while batting .500 and talling a 16-6 record and 1.83 ERA.  That effort helped the Sailors broke the school record for most wins in a season while winning the conference championship.

“Brooke is a tremendous all-around athlete,” Jacobs said. “She has helped many of the sports succeed at Waterloo Columbus High School. She has been a local standout since she came on the scene as an 8th grader. We have been able to follow her growth as an athlete all the way. Her size and natural strength will help her make the transition to the D1 level well.”

Craig is the daughter of Martin and Sarah Craig.
