Cedar Falls Police Conduct Tobacco Checks of Local Businesses
On January 9, 2018, the Cedar Falls Police Department conducted tobacco checks of local businesses that sell tobacco products.
During the tobacco checks the following employees were issued citations for providing tobacco to a minor:
Nanci Lynn Robertson, age 63, of 605 Anthony Street, Waterloo, and works at Casey’s General Store, 2425 Center Street.
Kim Norene Kelly, age 61, of 313 Lincoln Street, Cedar Falls, and works at Metro Mart 3, 103 Franklin Street.
Ying Zheng, age 33, of 4914 Algonquin Drive, Cedar Falls, and works at the Great Wall, 2125 College Street, Suite D.
Dustin J. Ackerson, age 27, of 6220 Pashby Road, Cedar Falls, and works at B and B West, 3105 Hudson Road.
Scheduled fine for the citation of providing tobacco to a minor is $100.00, a criminal surcharge of $35.00, and court cost of $60.00, for a total fine/costs of $195.00.
A criminal charge is an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
