It's no surprise to those that live in the Cedar Valley that Cedar Falls is a great place to live, work and raise a family. That's why nerdwallet.com gave Cedar Falls high marks in the Best Small Cities In America.

Cedar Falls ranked in at #4, due to amount and diversity of jobs. nerdwallet.com says

"A diverse job market that includes health care, education and manufacturing has helped keep unemployment low and wages strong in Cedar Falls. Residents have short commutes, about 13 minutes on average, and a good work-life balance. Workers log an average of 33.2 hours weekly, leaving ample opportunities to enjoy the Cedar Valley region’s 94 parks, 13 museums and 10 performing arts venues."

Cedar Falls was only beaten out by #1 Moorehead, MN, #2 Winona, MN and #3 Marion, IN. In total, 5 Iowa cities made the top 100.

I will have to say, that even though Cedar Falls makes the list, there are other great areas in Eastern Iowa that could rank as Great Places to Live. We're lucky to have what we have here in Iowa and the Cedar Valley. We just need to look around and take time to enjoy it.
