Bremer County authorities have captured one of the two suspects involved in a rural Waverly break-in.


As part of an ongoing investigation, arrest warrants were issued for 28 year old Lover Montgomery of Chicago, Illinois, and Christopher Flowers of Gary, Indiana.

The two suspects had been living in Mason City at the time of the burglaries that occurred in rural Waverly, as well as Worth County.

The Bremer County Sheriff had been working with federal officials to locate the two, and as a result, Montgomery was found and arrested in Chicago in April, and held in the Cook County jail until his extradition back to Bremer County He is currently being held in the Waverly jail on $10,000 bond.

Authorities are still trying to find the other suspect, Christopher Flowers.

The investigation began in January, when a traffic stop in Floyd County provided information on the burglary at a rural Waverly home. Search warrants were executed in Mason City and Northwood, resulting in the discovery of some of the items taken in the break-in.

Another suspect, 36 year old Eric Devonte Brown of Northwood, was arested and charged with possession of stolen property and use of a stolen credit card.
