A new episode of Austin City Limits premiering on Saturday (Feb. 9) will showcase some of the most unforgettable moments from the 2018 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony, which took place in September in Nashville, Tenn. Among the performances included in the special episode is a rendition of Aretha Franklin's iconic "Chain of Fools," performed by a diverse group of vocal powerhouses who came together onstage to deliver a rousing, virtuosic take on the song.

This Austin City Limits episode, which will premiere on PBS, will offer viewers a front-row seat for the most memorable performances of the 2018 Americana Music Awards ceremony, including appearances by Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, John Prine and many more. The annual event showcases the musical talents of all of the artists celebrated during the ceremony, including Lifetime Achievement honorees k.d. lang, Buddy Guy and Rosanne Cash, as well as a solo performance from Thomas. At the close of the ceremony, the all-star tribute to Franklin stops the show.

This ACL airing marks the eighth consecutive year that the producers of Austin City Limits have partnered with the Americana Music Association for a special broadcast to close out ACL's season of performances and showcases. The episode was recorded live at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
