Attempted Child Abduction In Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls Police are investigating an attempted child abduction.

Yesterday (Tuesday, August 2) 4:00 PM, Cedar Falls Police were dispatched to the area of Clay Street Park on the report of an attempted child abduction. An investigation found that three children were playing at the park about 3:30 PM when a silver four door vehicle pulled up with a white male driver. The driver was described as being in his mid-30’s with short dark hair. The driver offered the children money to get into his vehicle. The children told him no and he drove away.

Cedar Falls Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male. If anyone was around Clay Street Park at this time of day and saw anything suspicious please contact the police department at 319-273-8612.
