Arrests on Sex Abuse and Illegal Drugs in Oelwein

Oelwein Police have arrested an Eastern Iowa man on several counts of sexual abuse. Shortly after 12 noon Monday (March 28), 35 year old Randy Eschen of Baldwin was taken into custody in the 500 block of Rock Island Road. Eschen was charged with 4 counts of sex abuse, 3rd degree, stemming from an incident that was originally reported on March 11th. No other details were available.

An Oelwein man has been arrested on illegal drug charges after a traffic stop.   Just before 7pm Monday (March 28), 44 year old Randall Meike was taken into custody after being pulled over in the 200 block of 5th Avenue SW. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while his license is suspended.
