The Cedar Falls Police Department made an arrest in an ongoing arson investigation. 

Cedar Falls Fire/Rescue were called to a garage fire on December 7th at 412 W. Dunkerton Rd.. Upon arrival, fire fighters discovered the structure was completely engulfed in flames.

The investigation led to the arrest of Royce Lenth, 18, who was a resident at the residence at the time. According to the investigation, Lenth poured accelerant  on a fire inside the garage, causing the entire garage and its contents to start on fire.

Today (Friday, December 11th) Cedar Falls Police officially charged Lenth with 2nd Degree Arson, a Class "C" Felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000.
