NE Iowa Man Arrested on Federal Firearms Warrant

A Northeast Iowa man has been taken into custody on a federal warrant.

Shortly after 3:30pm on Thursday, Jan. 11th, the Fayette County Sheriff arrested 42 year old Mark Opperman of Hawkeye.

Opperman was wanted on a United States Warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Opperman was held in the Fayette County jail without bond, pending his appearance in federal court.

West Union Police assisted the Fayette County Sheriff in the arrest.
