3 Members of CF Family Killed in Accident

A Cedar Falls man and two of his children have been killed in a traffic accident in Florida.

It happened just after noon Wednesday on Interstate 10, east of Tallahassee. A pickup went out of control on the rain-covered road and collided with a vehicle occuppied by the Benjamin Bartlett family of Cedar Falls.

The 39 year old Bartlett and two of his children, 11 year old Charles and 9 year old Bailey, died in the accident; his wife, 39 year old Erin Bartlett and their 7 year old daughter Kaia, were injured; they were being treated at a local hospital.

The driver of the pickup was an Oklahoma man; his truck also struck a car occuppied by a Texas family. There as no word on their condition.

Benjamin Bartlett had been a music teacher at Cedar Heights Elementary School.
