Calling all Firefighter fans, big, small, young and not as young.  The 138th Iowa Firefighters Association Convention is in full gear in Waverly this weekend. The public is invited to cheer on the men and women from their favorite firehouse during friendly games and competitions Saturday in downtown Waverly.  There will be lots of vendors with crafts, memorabilia, shirts and more for sale.  Food and beverage vendors will be available too.  Plus the Waverly businesses will be open for you to shop too.  Saturday night you'll be in awe with the huge Parade of Lights, featuring old and new trucks, fire engines, and more, starting at 6:30.

How amazing that we have a chance, on the eve of 9/11, to unite and show our support of firefighters everywhere.  USA~USA~USA!!

Parade route starts near Willow Lawn Mall on 20th Street NW in Waverly (near Pizza Ranch) will travel to 5th Avenue NW (near Bartles & behind Wartburg) to 6th Street, across Bremer Avenue to 2nd Ave, then passed the Waverly Fire Station and back across Bremer Avenue to the park.
