The softball teams at Cedar Falls, Waterloo East and Waterloo West will all begin their journey to the 2015 state tournament on the road, while Waterloo Columbus Catholic and Waverly-Shell Rock both open post-season play at home. Regional games for 118 teams across Iowa are scheduled to begin Monday, July 6. For all tournament pairings and scores click on one of the links below.

CLASS-1A | CLASS-2A | CLASS-3A | CLASS-4A | CLASS-5A

Cedar Falls, East and West all could qualify for state by winning two games apiece. Each has been placed in a different Class-5A region and all three received a bye to the regional semifinals of their bracket.

Cedar Falls opens post-season play at Ankeny on Saturday, July 11. With a victory, the Tigers would advance to the regional title game at Iowa City West on Tuesday, July 14. Other teams in the region are Iowa City High, Cedar Rapids Washington and Iowa City West.

Waterloo East is in a region that includes Dubuque Hempstead, Davenport West, Linn-Mar of Marion and Cedar Rapids Kennedy. The Trojans begin their journey to state with a regional semifinal game at Linn-Mar on July 11. A victory would put East in the regional title game at Cedar Rapids Kennedy on July 14.

Waterloo West begins post-season play with a regional semifinal game at Cedar Rapids Prairie on July 11. The regional championship game is scheduled to be played at Cedar Rapids Jefferson on July 14. Jefferson is one of the other three teams in the region, along with Davenport Central and Dubuque Senior.

Waterloo Columbus Catholic will be competing for a state tournament berth in Class-3A. The 13th-ranked Sailors open regional play with a quarterfinal game against Independence at home on Wednesday, July 8. The winner faces either Waukon or North Fayette Valley in the regional semifinals on July 10 at Waterloo Columbus Catholic. The other half of the bracket includes Monticello, Union, Beckman Catholic, and Center Point-Urbana.

As the only ranked team in Class-4A Region 3, Waverly-Shell Rock is a favorite to make it to state. The Go-Hawks will face either Decorah or Charles City in the regional semifinals on Saturday, July 11. A win puts Waverly-Shell Rock in position to earn a state tournament trip on its home field.

The regional championship is scheduled to be played in Waverly on July 14. If the Go-Hawks win their regional semifinal, they'll face either Western Dubuque, Dubuque Wahlert or West Delaware in the regional title game.

The regional tournament begins on Monday, July 6 with first-round games in Class-1A and -2A. In all, 339 teams will be competing for a state tournament berth when the regional tournament begins. Only 40 will make -- eight in each class.

The state tournament runs July 20-24 at Rogers Park in Fort Dodge.
