Part of the field is set for the 2015 Iowa High School Girls State Basketball Tournament. The Class-3A bracket has been filled by the eight teams that won regional championship games Saturday night (February 21, 2015).

Crestwood is the only team from Northeast Iowa in the field. The Cadets earned their second-straight trip to state and fifth overall with a 46-42 win over Osage at Charles City Saturday night.

The Cadets advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 tournament and also qualified for the five-player championship field in 1995, 1997 and 2003. Cresco also qualified for the six-player tournament in 1922 and 1923 before the event was sanctioned by the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union (IGHSAU).

The 2015 Girls State Basketball Tournament will be played March 2-7 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. There will be a new 3A champion this season. Defending title-holder Western Christian is not part of the field.

The Class-3A state championship game tips-off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.
