Every Year I get together with a few of my other radio alumni and we talk about who will break through and become a star. This year I had a few artists including one band, one female artist, and one male artist.

three songs just miss national exposure. There last hit "Carolina" went to #1, and their current single "Close Your Eyes" is climbing the charts. Don't be surprised to see Parmalee mentioned for group of the year at next year's ACM Awards Show.

Cassidy Pope has the makings of being huge. She won "The Voice," and she has a great sound for today's country radio. It has a rock edge and a girl next door look. She also has an album that just came out, and Cassidy is touring the country hard in 2014. Country music needs more female singers on the radio, so she is coming into the business at the perfect time.

Frankie Ballard has the three things every country star needs to make it huge: looks, a solid work ethic, and a great sound. Frankie had 3 songs that made the charts a few years ago, but he could just never crack the music chart's top 10. After a three wait, he finally released his new album "Sunshine & Whiskey." His first release from that album, "Helluva Life", went #1.  You will be seeing much more of him this year.
