Waterloo Police are investigating two incidents where shots were fired in the city, as well as an armed robbery.

In the first shooting incident, late Wednesday, officers responded to shots fired on Newell Street. Police discovered a person with a gunshot wound to one of his legs. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital; a condition report was not available.

The second shooting happened just before 10:00 PM on West Mullan Avenue. A 911 caller reported hearing shots in the area. Investigating officers found that a home in the 900 block of West Mullan had been hit, but no one was injured. It was not known if the shootings were related.

And Waterloo Police were called out to an armed robbery just before 10:00 PM Wednesday, at New Sat Liquor on Lafayette Street.

2 men wearing masks entered the liquor store, one of them armed with a gun. There were no serious injuries reported, and no indication if anything was taken. The suspects had fled the scene before authorities arrived.

All of the incidents remain under investigation.
